At the moment, only patches against 2.6.9/2.6.18 vanilla kernels are available. Read about patching/building OVZ kernel at http://wiki.openvz.org/Kernel_build#Rebuilding_kernel_from_s ources page.

Yeah I've just seen that.

Do you think there'll be much trouble patching my current kernel? Would it be better waiting for the next release? Thanks

I guess there'll be much trouble patching your current kernel...
And next OpenVZ test kernel branch will be based on 2.6.20 kernel, so you'll not be able to patch your current kernel anyway. Porting to 2.6.20 is not started yet, so, I guess, quite a lot of time will pass before it becomes usable.

I suggest you to use 2.6.18 OVZ kernel.

Vasily.

Thanks for the suggestion. 2.6.18 won't work on my laptop. I've a fake raid. 2.6.19 so far is the only kernel I've got working right. Been through a few Very Happy

I was hoping to do development in a VE on my laptop then clone the result to my servers. I'll have a poke around with the patching. Probably be back here soon. Thanks Vasily Tarasov for all your help.
