Hi All...

I have been trying to run a 64bit Debian prebuilt template VPS with no luck. When I try to start the VPS it says that it can't start and someting to the effect "probably wrong template version."

So I built a kernel for my Debian Etch host node with flat memory but that didn't help. I also looked for a 64bit prebuilt kernel for 686 but didn't see one. The AMD64 prebuilt kernel packages won't install (no suprise).

I see there is an AMD64 port of Etch that is supposed to work on Intel 64bit chips and I see there are pre-built kernels for Debian Etch AMD64.

Is this what I need to accomplish this? If not, how do I get a 64bit host node? Will there be a performance or capability gain to make it worth doing?

Thanks!
