Hi,

Does OpenVZ have an API, eg: you can connect to it via a network socket, fire XML at it and create a new VPS, or something akin to that?

If not, are there any plans to create one?

What have other people done in this regard? eg: if you want to automate certain processes, is it just a case of writing a script that runs the appropriate commands?

Thanks,
Chris

You are talking about controller daemon, which is not the same as API. Right now OpenVZ doesn't have it, and as I know, nobody plans to implement it in the near future. So, there is wide area for investigation and help Smile
