OK, so I've gotten OpenVZ working find on Ubuntu, however the only way I've been able to get a VE other than a Debian working is to use a precreated template, or clone a VE from a RH system.

Is there a way to get something like CentOS running on a VE from a Debian host? Something like a debootstrap for RPM distros would be a start.

Thanks,
Jim.

Hi Jim,

for building OS Templates, you can use some helper scripts:

* deboostrap :: debian based distro
* rpmstrap :: rpm based distro (only in debian testing repro)
* archbootstrap :: for archlinux (-> http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=4020),
but needed some dist helper scripts for manage-ing ip, hostname etc from VE0
